Throughout his career, Dr. Rondinone has performed engineering analyses and testing across a broad range of industries, including oil and gas, manufacturing, transportation, aviation, construction, maritime, and medical devices. His work has included failure analysis of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig, engineering review for the California Public Utilities Commission, thermal and stress analyses of piping and pressure vessels, crashworthiness evaluations, and design reviews of fire suppression and flame arrestor systems. He has extensive experience developing finite element models and conducting mechanical, thermal, and combustion-related testing.

In addition to his engineering practice, Dr. Rondinone previously served as Vice President of Engineering at 4-D Imaging, Inc., where he managed the development of three-dimensional scanning technologies for industrial inspection and analysis. He has also held teaching and research appointments in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of California, Berkeley.

Dr. Rondinone earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as a B.S. in Engineering Physics and a B.A. in Astrophysics from the same institution. He is a Registered Mechanical Engineer in the State of California and has authored patents and numerous technical publications and engineering reports related to mechanical failure analysis, finite element analysis, and industrial engineering investigations.
