Dr. David Erwin Pitcher, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a general surgery expert witness from New Mexico. He has a physician’s license from the state of New Mexico and is certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Pitcher completed his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry in 1979 from Texas Tech University and then earned his Medical Doctorate in 1986 from the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine. He further completed his internship, residencies and fellowships from the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine. Currently, Dr. Pitcher is the Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery and the Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine. Additionally, he is the Executive Physician at the University of New Mexico Health System and is a Medical Staff at the University of New Mexico Hospital.
