David W. Kassekert

David W. Kassekert, P.E., C.P.S.I. is a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in mechanical engineering, forensic engineering, and safety consulting. He holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Pittsburgh in 1975, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1969, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1967. Additionally, he has specialized training in automotive engineering from the Chrysler Institute of Engineering. Mr. Kassekert is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states, including Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, New Jersey, Florida, and Ohio. He is also a certified Playground Safety Inspector (C.P.S.I.) with the National Recreation and Park Association.

With over five decades of experience in engineering and consulting, Mr. Kassekert is the President of Keystone Engineering Consultants, Inc., and the Principal at 84 Associates, LLC. He has also served as Vice President at Keystone Recreational Consultants, Inc. Throughout his career, Mr. Kassekert has held various engineering and leadership positions, including roles at Robson Lapinao Inc., Mesta Machine Company, and Westinghouse Electric Company, where he worked as a Principal Investigator. He has expertise in product management, steel mill equipment, and vehicle design, having worked at Chrysler Corporation and B&M Industries earlier in his career. Additionally, his entrepreneurial experience includes owning a Thrifty Car Rental franchise.
