He also completed his M.P.H. in 1979 from the Harvard School of Public Health at Boston, Massachusetts. Currently, Dr. Garabrant is the Emeritus Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Michigan School of Medicine. He is also the Founding Director at the University of Michigan, Center for Risk Science and Communication. He also has few publications to his credit. He resides in Michigan.edu
