Dr. David Norman Caplan, M.D., Ph.D. is a neurology expert witness from Massachusetts. He completed his undergraduate degree in 1965 from Laval University, then completed his B.S. in 1968 and his Ph.D. in 1971 from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and then earned his M.D. in 1975 from McGill University. He further completed his internship at Montreal General Hospital and his residency in Neurology at Children's Hospital Medical Center, Beth Israel Hospital. He has physician's licenses from the states of Pennsylvania, Ontario and Massachusetts and is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Currently, Dr. Caplan is the Professor of Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Previously, he was the Director of Speech Pathology Services at Montreal Neurological Hospital and the Director of the Neuropsychology Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was also a M.R.C. Visiting Professor of Speech Sciences, Linguistics, & Neurology at the University of British Columbia.
