Dr. Vasbinder-Calhoun has held multiple prominent roles in academia and clinical practice. She currently serves as a neonatologist and neonatal hematologist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and is an Associate Clinical Professor at Florida State University’s Department of Clinical Sciences. She has previously held faculty appointments and leadership roles at the University of Florida and the University of South Florida, including Director of Pediatric Research and Director of the Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship Program. In addition to her clinical and academic achievements, Dr. Vasbinder-Calhoun has been a dedicated independent medical consultant and expert witness since 2012, providing managed medical reviews for various organizations, including the State of Florida Medicaid. She also served as the Medical Director of the NICU at Sarasota Memorial Hospital from 2004 to 2009.
