He performs nighttime visibility and lighting analyses, including headlight and luminance mapping, and evaluates issues related to conspicuity and object detection.
His technical methods include photogrammetry, 3D laser scanning, and event data recorder (EDR) imaging and analysis, including heavy vehicle data systems. He is certified as a BOSCH Crash Data Retrieval technician and is trained in accessing heavy vehicle event data recorders. Dr. Wolfe also evaluates advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including LiDAR, radar, and camera-based technologies, and analyzes vehicle electrical systems in the context of collision events.
