Craig Alan Nachbauer, M.D., R.V.T., R.P.V.I. is certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and has practiced thoracic and vascular surgery since 1991. He is a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT). He is also a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). He is experienced in medical record review, determinations of standard of care, and deposition and testimony in medical malpractice cases. Dr. Nachbauer received his thoracic surgery residency at the Ohio State University Hospitals. After a fellowship in pediatric cardiothoracic surgery at Emory University, he completed his training as Clinical Associate in Cardiothoracic Surgery at The Cleveland Clinic. His other subspecialty includes Wound Care, Phlebology, Non-invasive Vascular Testing and Lung Cancer. He has more than 29 years of medical practice. In 1973, he completed his B.A. from Miami University. In 1976, he earned his Medical Degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine and in 2004, he completed his Master in Business Administration from University of Tennessee. Currently, Dr. Nachbauer is in private practice, specializing in thoracic and vascular surgery. He was former medical director of the University of Vermont Health Network-Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital Wound Center. He has medical practicing license in Vermont and New York.
