Brad Joonschik Yoo, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at Yale University School of Medicine with board certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (2009, recertified 2017). His clinical and academic focus is in orthopaedic trauma, supported by previous faculty appointments at the University of California, Davis and Oregon Health and Science University, where he also served as Section Chief of Orthopaedic Trauma.

Dr. Yoo holds a B.A. from Cornell University and an M.D. from New York Medical College. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and a fellowship in orthopaedic trauma at the University of Washington’s Harborview Medical Center.

He has served as principal investigator on multiple research grants and clinical trials, including biomechanical studies and investigations into imaging and surgical techniques related to fracture management. He has delivered numerous invited lectures and instructional courses nationally and internationally on topics such as ankle, tibial, and pelvic fractures, and has served as faculty and moderator at AO North America and Orthopaedic Trauma Association events.

His academic roles have included multiple course directorships in musculoskeletal and trauma education for medical students and residents, as well as involvement in national orthopaedic education programs.
