Dr. Barry Lloyd Wenig M.D., M.P.H., Ph.D., F.A.C.S is an otolaryngology expert witness from Illinois. He has medical practitioner’s licenses from the states of Illinois, Michigan and New York and is certified by both the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Surgery. He completed his Bachelor of Science in 1972 from the George Washington University at Washington, D.C. and then earned his Doctor of Medicine in 1979 from the Sackler School of Medicine Tel Aviv University at Tel Aviv, Israel. He then pursued his internship in General Surgery and residency in Otolaryngology from the Long Island Jewish Medical Center at New Hyde Park, New York. He also served as Chief Resident during his tenure of residency. He further pursued his fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center at New York, New York. He also completed his M.P.H. in Health Policy Administration in 1993 and then received his Ph.D. in Health Information Management in 2010 from the University of Illinois. Currently, Dr. Wenig is the Professor of Surgery at the Pritzker School of Medicine, University of Chicago, a physician at University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System, Francis L. Lederer Professor of Otolaryngology at University of Illinois College of Medicine and an Attending Physician for the NorthShore University Health System. He is also Consultant at the St. Elizabeth's Hospital at O’Fallon, Illinois and the St. Joseph's Hospital at Highland, Illinois. He has many publications to his credit.
