Balvindar Singh Sareen

Dr. Balvindar S. Sareen, MD, MBA, CPE, FACHE, is a physician executive with more than 30 years of experience in clinical practice and healthcare leadership. His clinical background includes internal medicine, geriatrics, palliative care, population health, peer review, and risk management. He is board-certified in multiple specialties and holds advanced credentials as a Certified Physician Executive and Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Dr. Sareen currently serves as Senior Medical Director and Vice President for Physician Partnerships and Network Development at Healthcare Partners in Garden City, New York. In this role, he focuses on provider network growth, population health initiatives, and value-based care delivery. His responsibilities include collaboration with hospitals, health systems, and payors to improve quality metrics, risk adjustment performance, and cost management strategies.

Previously, he held senior leadership roles as Chief Medical Officer at Long Island Select Healthcare and its Accountable Care Organization, Regional Medical Director for Sound Physicians, and Chief Medical Officer/Chief Quality Officer at multiple hospitals within NYC Health + Hospitals. His career also includes executive positions at Presence Health System, Mercy Health System, and St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center.

Throughout his leadership roles, Dr. Sareen has overseen clinical operations, accreditation and regulatory compliance, physician engagement, process improvement, and value-based care programs. His experience spans large public health systems, multispecialty practices, and national healthcare organizations, with a focus on quality, safety, and operational performance.
