Dr. Arthur J. Miller Ph.D., CFS is a Certified Food Scientist expert witness from Pennsylvania. His expertise also includes evaluation and control of hazards and health risks in a variety of consumer products, including foods, beverages, bottled water, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and over-the-counter drugs. He is a Certified Food Scientist certified by the International Food Science Certification Commission. He completed his B.S. in Biology from Kansas State University in 1972 and M.S. in Food Science from Pennsylvania State University in the year 1977. Subsequently, he earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Drexel University in 1984. He has previously served at the United States Department of Agriculture and the Department of Health and Human Services. He also served at the Food and Drug Administration's Center for Food Safety & Applied Nutrition from 1998 to 2005 as the FDA's Lead Scientist for the National Food Safety Initiative, CFSAN's Lead Scientist for Microbiology. Formerly, he was also an Associate Director for the Joint Institute for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition. Currently, he is an Instructor of the Food Microbiology Short Course at Pennsylvania State University. He is also a Principal Scientist at Chemical Regulation & Food Safety. He has several publications to his credit.
