Antonio “Tony” Flores is a law enforcement and police practices expert with more than four decades of experience with the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD), where he has served as a sworn officer since 1982. He currently serves as an acting Lieutenant overseeing the Human Trafficking Unit. His career began in uniformed patrol before transitioning to the Narcotics Division, where he worked for 13 years and was promoted to Sergeant in 1998. In that supervisory role, he managed officers, directed the Field Training Program, and addressed community issues including homelessness, mental health, narcotics, and quality-of-life concerns.

In 2001, Flores was promoted to Sergeant-Inspector and assigned to the Domestic Violence Response Unit, where he supervised and investigated more than 1,000 domestic violence-related cases. He has testified in Superior Courts throughout the Bay Area as an expert in domestic violence, stalking, elder abuse, and immigration-related matters involving T and U visas. Since 2012, he has worked within the Special Victims Unit, investigating domestic violence, elder abuse, financial crimes, internet crimes against children, child abuse, missing persons, sexual assaults, stalking, and human trafficking. Flores also serves as a Task Force Officer for Homeland Security Investigations and is the sole certifying official for U-Visa and T-Visa applications within SFPD.
