Andrew J. Scott, III, D.C.J., is a criminal justice and law enforcement professional with experience in police procedures, security, accreditation, investigations, and evidence management. He earned a Doctor of Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University in 2021, a Master of Science in Management from St. Thomas University in 1993, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University in 1977. He also completed the FBI National Academy and the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development program.

Scott has served as an Adjunct Professor at Saint Leo University since 2022 and as President of AJS Consulting, LLC since 2002. Through his consulting practice, his work includes security team development, law enforcement policy and procedure development and review, security assessments, leadership development, law enforcement accreditation, evidence collection and storage protocols, police use of lethal and less-lethal force, vehicle pursuits, hiring and retention, internal affairs investigations, eyewitness identification procedures, homicide and criminal investigations, crime prevention, and crime scene investigations. His CV also identifies experience in SWAT, racial profiling, law enforcement technology, homeland security, community policing, and dignitary protection.
Scott previously served as Chief of Police for the Boca Raton Police Department from 1998 to 2006 and Assistant Chief of Police for the North Miami Beach Police Department from 1995 to 1998.
