Dr. Andrew Kenneth Sands, M.D., F.A.A.O.S. is an orthopaedic surgery expert witness from New York. He has active medical practitioner’s license from the state of New York and is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed his B.S. in 1981 from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and then earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in 1985 from the New York Medical College. He also completed internship in 1986 from the St. Luke's/Roosevelt Medical Center and residency in 1990 from the Lenox Hill Hospital, both at New York City, New York. He further completed fellowship in Foot & Ankle Surgery in 1994 from the Harborview Medical Center at the University of Washington, Medical Center at Seattle, Washington. Currently, Dr. Sands is the Chief of the Division of Foot & Ankle Surgery at the NY Presbyterian – Lower Manhattan Hospital at New York City, New York. He also served as the Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Weill Cornell Medical College and also he is the Orthopedic Residency – Coordinator and the Section Chief in Foot & Ankle Surgery at the Kingsbrook Medical Center at Brooklyn, New York. He also has several publications to his credit. He resides in New York. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
