Dr. Amy Beth MacKenzie B.S.N., C.L.C.P., Ph.D., R.N.is a Certified Life Care Planner and testifying expert from Tyler, Texas.She has special expertise in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) cases.Before becoming a life care planner, Dr. Mackenzie worked as a critical care nurse, and then became the Director of Nursing Services at Pinehurst Alzheimer Special Care Center. She is a certified Registered Nurse (RN) Texas Board of Nursing. She completed her BSN in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas in 1997as well as gained her Certification for Assisted Living Management in 1999 from Southwest Texas State University, San Marcosand subsequently earned her MSN in Nursing Administration from theUniversity of Texas, Tyler in 2000. She also received her Certification Program in Life Care Planning from University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida in 2008. She further pursued her M.D. inNursing with expertise Traumatic Brain Injury Survivors from University of Texas, Tyler in 2012. Currently, she is a President of Mackenzie Life Care Planning, LLC at Tyler, Texas.She is a facilitator for the East Texas Brain Injury Support Group, and a member of the Texas Nurses Association, International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals, and Sigma Theta Tau, the Honor Society of Nursing.She is a member of Texas Nurses Association and International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals. She has few publications to her credit.
