Dr. Allen De Vaney Elster, M.D., M.A. is a Diagnostic Radiology expert witness from North Carolina. He also has expertise in neuroradiology. He completed his B.E. in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Mathematics in 1976 from the Vanderbilt University at Nashville, Tennessee and then completed his M.A. in Neurophysiology in 1978 from the Oxford University at Oxford, England. He then earned his M.D. in 1980 from the Baylor College of Medicine at Houston, Texas. He then completed his first residency in Surgery in 1983 and second residency in Diagnostic Radiology in 1986 from the Massachusetts General Hospital at Boston, Massachusetts and the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, Texas respectively. He further completed his fellowship in Neuroradiology in 1987 from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine of the Wake Forest University at Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He also completed his M.B.A. in 1999 from the Babcock Graduate School of Management of the Wake Forest University at Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Currently, Dr. Elster is the Professor of Radiology at the Wake Forest School of Medicine. He is also a Staff Radiologist at the Baptist Medical Center at Wake Forest, North Carolina. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, member of Editorial Board of the Diagnostic Imaging journal and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He has been honored multiple times by the Castle Connolly America's Top Doctors for Cancer and Castle Connolly America's Top Doctors. He has multiple publications to his credit.
