Dr. Allan Joel Belzberg M.D. is a neurosurgery expert witness from Maryland. He completed his undergraduate education in the year 1978 from the University of British Columbia and then he received his medical degree from the University of Calgary at Alberta, Canada in 1982. He completed a medical/surgical internship at McGill University Teaching Hospitals. He further completed his residency and fellowship in Neurosurgery from the University of Calgary Teaching Hospitals. Dr. Belzberg then joined Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he completed an advanced specialty training program in pain, spine and peripheral nerve. Currently, Dr. Belzberg serves as Director of the Peripheral Nerve Center at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He is also Co-director of Neurosurgery Pain Research Institute, George J. Heuer Professor of Neurosurgery and the Co-director of Brachial Plexus Clinic at Kennedy Krieger Pediatric Nerve Injury Program. Additionally, he is an Associate Professor of neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
