Dr. Alan Arthur Wartenberg, M.D. is an internal medicine and addiction medicine expert witness from Rhode Island. He completed his Bachelor of Arts (with honors) with Major in German literature and Minor in Biology in 1967 in from the University College of Arts & Sciences of the New York University at Bronx, New York and then earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in 1972 from the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He then completed rotating internship in Medicine in 1973 from the Harbor UCLA Medical Center at Torrance, California and subsequently completed residency in Internal Medicine in 1980 from the Milwaukee County Medical Complex at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He further completed his fellowship in Alcohol/Substance Abuse in 1983 from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Currently, Dr. Wartenberg is the Affiliated Faculty Member at the Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies of the Brown University. Formerly, he served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Tufts University at Boston Massachusetts. He is also the Consulting Physician in SATP/OTP at the Providence DVA Medical Center at Providence, Rhode Island. He also has many publications to his credit. He resides in Massachusetts. He is married to Carol A. Wartenberg, MLS.
