He performed his surgical residency at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. He then studied for another year with Dr. Dalton McGlamry in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Rothstein is Board Certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He practiced podiatric medicine and surgery at Windy Hill Podiatry Associates in Marietta, Georgia for 36 years. Dr. Rothstein served as chief of Podiatric Surgery and was a member of the executive committee at Wellstar Windy Hill Hospital. He also was the medical director of The Foot Surgery Center from 1992-2015. He had a licensed and accredited ambulatory surgery center from 1992 – 2015. In 1996, he had the honor of being selected to be a member of the medical team treating the Athletes of the Centennial Olympic Games held in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a member and chairman of the Cobb County Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Commission, being appointed to that position by the past Attorney General for the State of Georgia, the Honorable Sam Olens. He was a well-respected high level soccer referee and assessor who officiated throughout the South East. He also served on the Georgia Referee Ethics and Grievance committee for over 10 years.
