Dr. Bovik He earned his B.S. in 1980, his M.S. in 1982 and his Ph.D in 1984 from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Currently, Dr. Bovik is the Ernest J. Cockrell Endowed Chair in Engineering and the Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.
