Her background includes preclinical research in immunology, polymer chemistry, and biomaterial development, as well as experience translating scientific findings into clinically relevant research studies. She has managed multi-site clinical research programs and has authored and reviewed regulatory documents, procedures, and policies in accordance with clinical and laboratory standards, including IRB, CAP/CLIA, GLP/GCLP, and ISO requirements.

Prior to joining Exponent, Dr. Iftikhar served as a Clinical Research Scientist at Machaon Diagnostics. She has authored peer-reviewed publications, delivered scientific presentations at professional conferences, and holds certification in Good Clinical Practices (GCP) for Medical Device Clinical Investigations.
